Similipal is a one of the Wildlife sanctuary covering an area of 2750 Sq.kms from the core area and the rest around it the buffer zone. The altitude at strategic points in the park ranges from 757.5 meters to 964 meters. A vast stretch of lush green forest in Similipal has been selected for one the fifteen Tigers Projects of India. One of the few Tigers reserves of India. Apart from Tigers, it is the home of Leopards, Elephants, Deer, Crocodiles and Reptiles. Over 230 species of birds including the talking myna ands dancing peacocks fill the air with their chirpings. And other animals are Jungle cat, Gaur, Sambar, Sotted Deer, Barking Deer, Four horned Antelop, Sloth Bear, Hyena, Common langurs, Flying Squirrel, Wild Dog so on.
Filled with lush green forest covers, especially luxuriant sal trees and vast espanse of grassy meadows, cloud kissing peaks ,the wild beauty is enhanced by the sparkling water falls and unique orchids. There is also facility to enjoy the night in Similipal.

A beauty spot on the river Baitarani known as the 'sacred Ganges of Orissa. ARADI is famous for the holy shrine of Lord Akhandalamani(Shive). Hundreds of pilgrims visit the place daily not only for a Darshan of the Lord but also to seek relief from physical ailment they suffer from. Sivaratri is the most popular festival here. It is 52kms from Bhadrak and 110 kms from Balasore. One can also negotiate the place by boat from Chandbali through the river.

A place 120 kms from Balasore. Chandbali is a famous river port since medieval time. Situated on the bank of Baitarani it has a direct inlet to the sea. The tourists can enjoy a boat journey to Aradi, Bhitarkanika avaya arnya and Dhamra by river route from Chandbali, Bhitarkanika is the growing tip of ever increasing delta formed by the river Brahmain,Baitarani,Dhamara.It is rated as the second largest mangrove forest in the country . You can get Crocodiles, Black Deer, Olive Ridlay and Migratory Birds. The land on seafront is capped with mangrove .

 On the Confluence of the rivers Baitarani and Brahmani where they meet the sea, Dhamra naturally has a special appeal for the tourists It is 40 kms from Chandbali, approachable by boat and motor launch and 160 kms from Balasore. It is the perfect and suitable place for experiencing the atmosphere of sea through boating.
